EHSS Roundtable, Washington DC, Nov 2014

Understanding Recyclability - RRS EHSSSusan Graff, RRS Vice President, recently presented on the need for a circular economy and the four key requirements to build it during the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) Roundtable in Washington, D.C.

In addition, RRS’s Anne Johnson presented Paws2Recycle, an example of industry action that will support the circular economy through an innovative take back to retail program. Linking recycling to a cause that pet owners care about, while creating collection infrastructure, Paws2Recycle will be a triple bottom line approach to building the circular economy for a hard-to-recycle woven polypropylene pet food bag.

Paws2Recycle - RRS EHSSThis voluntary industry initiative will be piloted in Atlanta, Georgia at select retailers. View the full slide deck from the EHSS Roundtable to see the four requirements to building a circular economy and how Paws2Recycle is making strides toward closing the loop.
