How We Do This

In our commitment to promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), RRS has taken concrete steps to ensure that these values are embedded in our organization and the work we undertake. Here’s how we’re achieving this: 

  1. DEI Committee: Our DEI initiatives are driven by a dedicated group of individuals from within our organization. They educate and train staff on DEI practices, curate engaging DEI activities, and cultivate best practices. Their dedication is a driving force behind our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
  1. Community Collaboration: Within our work, we actively engage with diverse communities, acknowledging and respecting their unique sociocultural contexts. By working closely with these communities, we gain invaluable insights that inform our approach, enabling us to tailor our solutions to be more culturally sensitive and relevant. 
  1. Client Engagement: We integrate our DEI principles into our projects to offer a comprehensive and more effective approach to our clients. By doing so, we foster more inclusive solutions for the communities and markets our clients serve. 
  1. Social Impact Fund: RRS established a Social Impact Fund that allows us to invest in initiatives that drive meaningful social and environmental progress. ‘ 
  1. Recruitment: We use blind hiring strategies to redact names, location, gender, and race indicators on resumes to reduce unconscious bias in decision-making. First interviews are done over the phone to further our commitment to reducing unconscious bias. We actively recruit at HBCUs and diversity boards and participate in ISRI’s Sustainability Pathways program

We are committed to self-reflection and investment in fostering intercultural competence throughout our organization, especially among our leaders. Our journey is ongoing; we continuously seek opportunities to bolster inclusivity, and further advance equity and diversity within our company.
