RRS Senior Consultant Elected NRC Chair

RRS Senior Consultant, Juri FreemanNovember 23, 2016, Ann Arbor, Mich. – Sustainability and recycling consultancy, Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), announced senior consultant Juri Freeman’s election to chair for the National Recycling Coalition (NRC).

Mr. Freeman joined RRS in February 2016 where he has participated in projects developing tools to help municipalities plan for recycling program changes, analyzing regions to understand recycling markets, and developing methodologies for estimating site-specific diversion rates.

Mr. Freeman’s background includes over 10 years of solid waste and recycling experience including direct municipality experience as recycling program manager for the city and county of Denver, Colo., as well as consulting experience.

“The NRC has a mission to maintain a prosperous and productive American recycling system,” stated Mr. Freeman. “Together we can support that mission by increasing engagement with our recycling organization affiliates and continuing to have a voice in the materials management industry.”

The NRC is a non-profit organization comprised of 23 affiliated recycling organizations with over 6,000 members that include representatives from waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting. The NRC provides tools, resources and a voice for every sector of the recycling industry across the country.
