Jackie Altschuler is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in environment, economy development, and sustainability with a specialization in sustainable business. She works with a variety of clients in industries including business, energy, and policy to address and overcome sustainability challenges.
Recent Team Projects
- Genessee County, MI: Evaluated the county’s current waste management operations to determine methods for enhancing waste collection and diversion, feasibility of establishing a MRF, and exploring the possibility of a recycling center for HHW.
- Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE): Supported Colorado NextCycle program designed to foster innovative recycling solutions and jump start end market development for recovered commodities and organic materials.
- Boulder County, CO: Conducted due diligence and fatal flaw analysis to help the county improve the long term financial and environmental sustainability of site locations for compost and C&D materials.
- Canadian Stewardship Services Alliance (CSSA): Supported research and analysis to inform CSSA’s efforts to produce a metric that represents the impacts of material characteristics on the cost of recycling system activities.
