Accelerate your state or region’s recycling growth with NextCycle.

At RRS, we developed the NextCycle model to help you keep materials in use longer while simultaneously creating economic opportunities for businesses, non-profits, and communities at the local level. Through NextCycle programs, we forge deep connections with your team to grasp existing systems, stakeholders, and future aspirations. Then, we assemble a top-tier team from across North America to fulfill your recycling analysis, strategy, and program design requirements for launching NextCycle.

The NextCycle program drives the growth of your circular economy through partnership and innovation. We help program participants develop solutions to divert materials away from landfills for reuse, recycling, or composting. Our staff helps advance solutions across the recycling supply chain to regenerate value and drive resiliency.

NextCycle drives economic development by supporting new businesses and operations

We customize NextCycle to your needs and follow our programming best practices for developing state or regional programs. These include focusing on five key elements: economic development, business support, partnership growth, thought leadership, and systems expertise.

We collaborate regionally and locally while working with stakeholders in economic development. We also embed community and social equity within the program design process and ongoing programming. NextCycle programs are designed to align with climate strategies and address regional goals.

Our process results in the growth of the region's circular economy, building economic opportunities and resilience while addressing large-scale environmental concerns.

We offer a variety of program options, including a circular accelerator, seed grants, partnership platform, and co-design processes. We can also customize your program with any additional RRS services and expertise that help you reach your goals.

  • Circular accelerator: provides business and technical planning support, pitch development assistance, and funding pathway identification and matchmaking.

  • Seed grant: provides small grants for early-stage projects, early-stage technical support and growth planning services, and facilitated networking and matchmaking.

  • Partnership platform: is a network designed to facilitate connections and leverage investment to drive solutions through establishment of shared challenges and goals, bringing funders and investors to the table, and facilitating shovel-ready solutions and driving support for emerging opportunities.

  • Co-design: is an approach to design with people, not for people, by sharing power, prioritizing relationships, and using participatory means.

We’re here to help you build the NextCycle program that solves today’s problems and sets you up for success in the future.
