RRS Consultant Appointed SWANA Ohio Buckeye Chapter Treasurer
December 15, 2016, Ann Arbor, Mich. – Sustainability and recycling consultancy, Resource Recycling Systems (RRS), announced consultant Jamie Zawila’s appointment to treasurer for the Ohio Buckeye chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).
Ms. Zawila has been with RRS since 2013 where she works with communities and solid waste management districts in developing solid waste and recycling plans. She also plays a key role in recycled materials research.
Ms. Zawila brings 20 years of experience in environmental and recycling planning including roles as engineer, field supervisor and project manager. She also facilitated the Solid Waste Advisory Council (SWAC) meetings during the 2001 state plan update during her tenure with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.
As treasurer for the SWANA Ohio Buckeye chapter, Ms. Zawila is responsible for analyzing and reviewing financial records, assisting with the annual budget and guiding the annual audit.
