As a rapidly developing region experiencing challenges related to climate change, plastic waste, and resource management, there is growing demand across Asia to improve environmental performance and seek cost-effective, circular solutions.
The regenerative mission of RRS Asia is focused on working with motivated and regionally-based organisations to advance recovery models, enhance business profitability, and develop regional circular economies as businesses transition from CSR to strategic sustainability programmes and from a linear to a circular model.
By creating end-to-end solutions, RRS accelerates change and bridges the vision of sustainability with solutions.

Our Work
MRF Development
RRS has supported the development of facilities in Indonesia and Malaysia by working with organisations focused on community-based collection to market solutions for recyclables. RRS has the technical expertise, operational knowledge, and equipment relationships to support the assessment and development of material recovery facilities (MRF) development – both basic and advanced – across Asia.
Plastic Recycling
The RRS team has in-depth expertise across all commodity plastics and recycling technologies (mechanical and advanced) in countries around the world, including Asia. RRS is experienced in plastic supply studies, end-to-end supply chain development, best practices, equipment solutions, and regulatory assistance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA) letter of non-objection (LNO) applications.
Education and Technical Assistance
Drawing upon more than 35 years of experience with recovery technologies and packaging materials, RRS has a technical learning series to help teams working with green technology investments in Asia better understand the technical aspects and economics of waste management and various recovery strategies. The series covers composting, plastic recycling, and advanced recycling technologies. As part of supporting investors, RRS conducts in-depth technical red flag assessments as well as market and diligence studies across the green tech space.
Due Diligence and Impact Metrics
RRS helps companies with their investment strategies in infrastructure, recycling, and technology organisations to address mis-managed plastics in Southeast Asia and India. RRS provides due diligence review and analysis in line with the organisation’s strategic goals and the UN Principles for Responsible Investment. Additionally, RRS develops standardised impact metrics model (IMM) to enable measurement of the impact of investments and initiatives both for look-forward forecasting purposes as well as tracking of actual performance achieved.
Waste and Recovery Assessments
RRS has conducted research in more than 34 countries to document solid waste, recycling and organics systems, and related policy frameworks. This data along with RRS’ expertise in evaluating management and recovery systems is used to inform zero waste strategies for recycling and organics and to help clients better understand market and business risk related to waste.
